ORC Fall 2021 Master Bedroom

It’s the week 6 of One Room Challenge! If you have not heard of ORC, it is a semi annual Interior design event where featured and guest participants transform a room of their choice. This event is in it’s 20th season which celebrates creativity, inspiration and their original ideas.

The ORC was started by Linda Weinstein of Calling It Home, and Better Homes & Gardens is the official media sponsor. The event is for 8 weeks where I’ll be sharing my Master bedroom makeover in my home.

Finally posting after 2 weeks! I had no update to give the last 2 weeks. Even though all the transformations are going at a snail pace, I’m confident to finish everything before the reveal!

This week, I did finalize on the green paint and started with the wall moulding. Hoping to finish it by tomorrow. Next one is the closet which is a big experiment for me! I’m excited and curious to see how it looks!

I really didn’t expect so much delay in getting the materials! Now I have almost all the things needed to finish this project and getting the bedroom back to being functional. Here are the progress photos of the things currently going on.

First, the wall was painted white 2 months back from gray. When I started deciding on the color and started with patches, my daughter thought I’m randomly using the colors available at home and helped herself paint that wall with many samples:). Later she helped me cover those with white paint. Once I started painting the edges and the corners, she also helped me with painting the whole wall! Now the moldings are up and once I secure those, I’ll paint it green.

Let’s see how everything comes together in the next 2 weeks! If you want to know the plan for the whole bedroom, follow ORC Fall 2021 – Week 1

I will add more details going forward with each post. Be sure to follow along the progress here on the blog and on my Instagram! For more design inspiration, don’t forget to follow the other participants on the ORC blog.
